Our approach to privacy
We want people, both adults and children 13 and older, who visit our site to be able to take part fully in the activities and offers we provide. We also want to make sure that when we collect information from users we do so in a way that does not infringe you or your child's right to privacy. This Privacy Policy is designed to give you useful information about your rights and the way we collect and use personal information.
We do not ask users to disclose any more information than is reasonably necessary to enable them to use the FitnessTracker tools and to ensure that our web site is in keeping with our user's needs.
We do not disclose personal information we have collected from you or your child through this web site to third parties. Besides what we describe in this Privacy Policy, we do not maintain any personal information obtained from users through this web site in a retrievable form.
The information we collect and how we use it
When you want to create a membership on our web site, this is the information we ask for and how we use it:
To sign up for a membership, we ask for your name, your age category, your gender, your email address, and your county of residence. This information is important for tracking your fitness progress against others who are in your age, gender or county category when entered into online fitness competitions.
If you enter health goals and health check-in information, we ask you for your weight and/or number of cigarettes smoked. This is used for you to track your progress against your weight or smoking cessation goals. We do not share this information with anyone—it is used only for your ability to track your own progress against goals you have set.
Occasionally, GetFitTN.com may aggregate a user’s non-identifying information with the information from other users. This aggregated, non-identifying date may be disclosed to third parties, including but not limited to other GetFitTN.com users.
When you establish a FitnessTracker membership on the GetFitTN.com website, we will send you a welcome email that will require you to click a link to activate your membership. We will also periodically send you emails with update information about the site or competitions you have entered. You can unsubscribe from these periodic emails by advising us through the email link titled "UNSUBSCRIBE" at the bottom of each email. If you are entered into a Team competition, your Team members have the ability to send you emails by clicking on your User Name in the Team Roster tab of the website.
GetFitTN.com owns all Personal Information provided to it by individuals. When an individual provides Medical Information to the website, the individual acknowledges their assignment of the right to use the data to the website.
